Because it’s crunchy, creamy, and quietly off the menu. To mark Chianti’s 13th anniversary, we’re letting you in on a little secret: we’ve brought one of Sicily’s most iconic desserts to Bangalore — the Cannoli.
But there’s a twist. It’s available only on Thursdays. And you won’t find it on the menu.
Curious? You should be.

What Is a Cannoli, really?
Originating in Caltanissetta, a town in central Sicily, the cannolo (that’s singular for cannoli!) is more than just a dessert. It's a slice of culinary history — a crispy pastry shell filled with lightly sweetened ricotta, originally made to celebrate Carnival.
Some stories say it was invented by Arab settlers, others credit cloistered nuns with dreaming it up. Either way, the recipe has been perfected over the centuries — from a festive joke to a Sicilian staple.
From Sicily to silver screens (and American streets)
You may know the cannoli from Italian-American delis in New York, Boston, or even mob movie references (“Leave the gun, take the cannoli”). In these cities, you’ll find lines out the door of Italian bakeries — proof of its cult status.
But here's what most versions get wrong:
Too sweet
Too soft
Pre-filled and soggy
The true Sicilian cannoli is crisp, delicate, and balanced — letting the texture of the shell and the richness of the ricotta do all the talking.
So what makes Chianti’s Cannoli special?
The shells are fried fresh in small batches
The filling is lightly sweetened mascarpone or ricotta, piped only moments before serving
The recipe is inspired by the traditional flavours of Sicily — expect subtle notes of cinnamon, cocoa, and citrus zest

Off-menu. Limited batch. Only once a week.
Available at
Indiranagar | MG Road | Koramangala | Ecoworld | Bellandur
Why you’ll want to try it
Because this is more than dessert.
It’s history. It’s craft. It’s Italy, right here in Bangalore.
And once they’re gone for the week… they’re gone.
P.S. Don’t ask for the menu. Just ask for the secret. 😉
See you Thursday?
