A Wine & Dine Experience

Two wine bottles and glasses on a table with a menu titled Perfect Pairings. One glass is rosé, the other champagne. Salt, pepper, and oil nearby.

Chianti, in collaboration with Grover Vineyards, created Perfect Pairings to celebrate the irresistible harmony of food and wine. For one exclusive evening at Chianti Ecoworld – The Bay, guests were welcomed to a table that promised not just a meal but a true Italian experience.

Guided by sommelier and senior marketing manager at Grover Vineyards, Manuela, each table was taken through the stories of Grover’s vineyards, secrets of winemaking, and the Italian traditions that inspire Chianti’s cuisine. What made the night truly special was discovering how the right wine can transform a dish, turning the familiar into something unforgettable.

Highlights from the Wine & Dine Menu

For this special evening, Chianti’s chefs and Grover’s sommeliers worked together to design a menu where each course was thoughtfully paired with a Grover label, and the very same wine was folded into the recipe. The result was a menu that felt seamless, with food and wine speaking the same language from the first sip to the last bite.

Pesce Fritto + Soirée Brut Chenin Blanc

Chianti's Pesce Fritto - fried fish, salad, and sauce on a white plate. Bread, spices, and dill garnish. Light marble background, fresh and appetizing.

One of the evening’s highlights was Pesce Fritto, crispy fried fish served with a zesty wine cocktail dip. Its perfect partner was Grover Soirée Brut Chenin Blanc.

With lively bubbles and refreshing acidity, the sparkling wine cut beautifully through the richness of the fried fish. Notes of green apple and citrus in the wine echoed the tangy dip, while its effervescence lifted the crunch with elegance. A pairing that was at once bright, refined, and proof that sparkling wine can be the ultimate match for fried food.

Fettuccine alla Bolognese + Vijay Amritraj Reserve

Chianti's Fettuccine alla Bolognese Pasta garnished with basil in a white plate, surrounded by bread, spices, cheese, sauces on a marble table with a wine glass in view.

The main course was all about comfort with depth — Fettuccine alla Bolognese. Slow-cooked to perfection, the sauce carried layers of tomato sweetness and savory richness.

It was paired with Grover’s Vijay Amritraj Reserve, a bold red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and a touch of Viognier. The wine’s velvety tannins and ripe blackberry and plum flavors embraced the ra without overwhelming it. Subtle spice and oak added another dimension, making every sip reveal something new in each bite of pasta. A true meeting of comfort and sophistication.

Crostata di Pesche al Rosé + Late Harvest Chenin Blanc

Chianti's Crostata di Pesche al Rosé, a dessert with whipped cream, chocolate shards, and mint on a white plate with red sauce drops next to a glass of amber wine on a table.

To conclude, Chianti’s team served a luscious dessert — Crostata di Pesche al Rosé, a buttery tart filled with rosé-glazed peaches and topped with a light mascarpone mousse.

Its perfect partner was Grover Late Harvest Chenin Blanc, with honeyed sweetness and notes of apricot, tropical fruit, and orange blossom. The wine mirrored the peaches’ juiciness while its bright acidity kept the pairing refreshing. Together, they created a finale that was indulgent yet light, capturing the joy of summer in every bite and sip.

Beyond the Plate

Perfect Pairings was an evening filled with stories, flavors, and shared moments. Guests discovered how food and wine, two inseparable companions, when thoughtfully matched, enhance the other to create balance and joy.

Chianti, in collaboration with Grover Vineyards, looks forward to many more such evenings. Stay tuned for what’s next on the Chianti table.
